FREE RECYCLING THROUGH THE MAIL

Last March 18, 2008, the US Postal Service had added themselves for those groups who help even a little in lessening the worsening case of global warming that will harm all of us devastatingly in no time soon. Recently, they introduced the Mail Back program.

This Mail Back program helps consumers to dispose their electronic items - from ink cartridges to PDAs - in an environment-friendly way. Here, postal offices provide appromixately 1,500 envelopes each. These envelopes are free and are especially for electronic items that are yet to be discarded and will immediately sent to the Clover Technologies group, free of charge.

The Clover Technologies Group is recognized nationally around the USA, who recycles, remanufactures and remarkets any sort of electronics. If the electronic items can't be resold, some of its parts are reused to build up other items or sometimes, they will break further an electronic item into parts and recycle it. This group has a policy: it does everything it can to avoid contributing any materials to the nation's landfills.

The Clover Technologies Group made a contract with the Postal Service - one of the 19 companies that they've made a contract with. They have decided to be responsible for postage payments of the customers. They know that this kind of technology will encourage more consumers to contribute something to the environment in a huge amount even little by little.

The free envelopes provided can be found on displays in Post Office lobbies. There's no limit to the number of envelopes that customers may take.

This program is another example of the Postal Service for the world's sustainability. More than a half a billion of packages and envelopes provided by this Postal Service are nearly a hundred percent recyclable and produced with the least harmful materials. Based on these recycled contents, more than 15,000 metric tons of carbon emissions are now prevented annually.

This program is spread around some states of the US. But hopefully for the fall season, this program is beneficial nationally.

In my own opinion, this program will anyhow cause a huge impact not only for people, but also for the whole world. Nowadays, since people are bound to have any form of gadgets in this present generation, some people have no idea to have the waste management on these.

Since the doom of global warming have scared many, different organizations, programs and technologies were born. Though recycling isn't new for everybody, it's been and will be a big thing to contribute something to the world. It's good that known companies build up programs that will encourage their customers and consumers to help for the betterment of our fragile world.

If these programs and the like were developed and improved as the years go by, we can restore the world that all of us dreamed to live in. These times are the time of no escape for different disasters. And remember, we are usually the cause who makes these things happen.

Finally, I hope the Mail Back programs and other alternatives for decreasing carbon emissions and worsening the case of global warming will be spread globally. Programs concerning the world may be little things, but if we do it little by little in every country, we can make the whole world change. These things would surely take us even more further. And soonly, we can be able to maintain and take good care of God's creation that are yet to fade out if the world's bad situation at the moment will worsen even more.
